The Football Guy is worried about players getting hurt at the proposed football game at Wrigley Field with Northwestern. Future of Illinois Men's Basketball????

Rumors abound that Demetri McCamey is going to declare for the NBA draft, whether he stays in or not remains to be seen; Stan Simpson transferring, and Jeff Jordan not returning.

If all three do not come back next year (especially McCamey, the one legitimate point guard on the roster) you can bet Bruce Mid-Major loyalists and Guenther defenders will use that an excuse when the team struggles next year.

If Illinois fails to make the NCAA tournament yet again, will Lord Guenther have the guts to finally fire his mid-major head coach? History shows that Guenther lets coaches that he hired stay around too long, like Ron Turner and Theresa Grentz.
