Ed DeChellis and Freaking Penn State Beat Our Mid-Major Coach. AGAIN!

In an annual tradition post-2005 under our mid-major men's basketball coach, powerhouse Penn State defeated Illinois. Best part of game: some Penn State fan yelling at the top of his lungs "Weber, sit down! We don't want to hear you yell!" that came across loud and clear on the Big Ten Network broadcast!

Penn State owns Weber!!! FREAKING PENN STATE SUCKS IN BASKETBALL! They lost at home by 23 to Maryland (who UI beat) and lost to Maine!!!

Illinois is 97-60 overall (.618 winning percentage) and in the Big 10, 38-36 (.514) with ZERO NCAA TOURNAMENT WINS since Dee Brown and James Augustine graduated.

This is Weber's program. And Weber is Coach Guenther's hire.

Why is it that we must go to the Davis/Cole show at the end of the game when we need a big rebound. Paul and Richmond sitting on the bench thinking how they would have had that rebound and taken the game into OT. Or maybe just maybe instead or Davis short arming a 5 footer twice a game he could step forward and dunk the ball. Everytime I look up Brucie has that NIT team on the floor in crunch time

How does a team of five returning starters look completely flummoxed at the sight of a 2-3 zone? And will someone please teach the guards to give an entry pass?

The saddest thing about this loss is it really doesn't bother me that much.

Bruce Weber has numbed me to losing to Penn St in basketball. If that isn't a fireable offense I don't know what is.

5th grade basketball teams are better motivated to play than the current roster. Would you want to play for a coach who sounds like nails on a chalkboard?

Total joke. Love the motion offense, let's just keep running in circles until the shot clock is at 8-10. Then set junior high ball screens at the top of they key and force up a shot.

ZERO fast break points last night too.

"Find a way to win" Bruce??

How about find a new job you SUCK.

6 out of 11 the last times we have played Penn State in basketball we have lost?

Brucey - Please resign and take a midmajor job - you don't have what it takes to get this program back to where it should be.

I've had the blog since 2006, but I've been complaining about Lord Guenther since 2002, well before the dope from Hudson, Ohio was a fan.

So sad....all of you have such great comments. The one that resonated with me the most was the one about being "numb" and not caring. I feel your pain. Whenever I see the same upperclassmen at the end of a close game, I just know we're going to lose. Then, to compound it all, I have to watch Bill Self and Kansas...we were so close and now we are yet so far....will justice ever come....will Ron Zook and Bruce Weber ever leave or will we have to have them and Guenther forever??????????????????? They are worse than the three stooges! Tell me there is hope somewhere. I can't bear to watch our once cherished basketball team go down in flames like football......

Can you do some research and tell me Weber's record the last five years in games decided by five points or less? I guarantee his record in close games is awful.

He is not the lead guy-can I please get some back up on this....Richmond, Richardson, Paul-let's see the underclassmen...Texas is doing it, right? Stuck it right to Dollar Bill tonight-love it! Hook 'em horns. OSU is next-overrated!

With the win on Saturday, David Lighty finished his career 4-0 in games played at Assembly Hall.

Meanwhile Weber's outstanding senior class will finish their careers 1-3 at Penn St.

Thanks BAMM!!

I watched Purdue play last night, and they are well on their way to a 25 to 30 win season, while we will be scratching and clawing for an NCAA tournament birth. Way to go Brucey!! - will you please leave so the fans don't have to run you out of town?
