A Comparison in How to Market Your Teams in Chicago

This is an interesting article about how Northwestern has tried to market its sports teams in Chicago. The whole "Chicago's Big 10 team" slogan, while annoying, has helped raise its profile. Meantime, the University of East Central Illinois does little, if any, advertising in Chicago. The teams are on a weak-signal radio station in Chicago. UI continues to refuse to advertise itself in the state's biggest market. And UI is supposed to be the state's flagship school when it won't even advertise in Chicago? On the bright side, Lord Guenther is taking down the temporary bleachers that are in the horseshoe in Memorial Stadium!

Ron Guenther's mind-boggling non-conference football scheduling continues. We play W. Michigan at their place in 2016. Thanks Ron!
