THE END IS NEAR!! Even Loren Tate Admits It!

There is a glimmer of hope in the South Farms! When Loren Tate, aka Guenther's big apologist, says the end is near, it's near!!!! However, several questions remain:

1) Will Ronnie even be around after June 30th, or will President Hogan do the right thing and merely let St. Guenther's contract expire?

2) If Hogan decides to keep Ron around for a few months until a new Chancellor is in place, will Ron do any coaching searches, or just keep naming interim coaches?

3) Will Ron, in his last days in office, schedule any more football games at MAC schools?

I wonder if that dope in Ohio is mourning the potential future success of Illinois athletics.

Let's hope this is the end of Ron Guenther and the era of mediocrity in Champaign. Given the poor performances by both the football and basketball teams over the past several years, it is very difficult to get excited (or even interested) in the programs.

The football team should be able to compete each year. Unfortunately, most years that is not the case. The basketball team should be dominant most years and at least very competitive every year. Since 2005, the basketball team has disappointed and I do not see that trend turning around anytime soon.

It would be nice to bring the family down to Champaign for a couple games each year, but given the product that has been fielded recently it does not seem worth the time or effort.

The time for change is long overdue.
